33:3 Accessibility Statement

We want 33:3 to be usable by everyone who wants to journal and receive a verse, including people who use a screen reader, larger text, or reduced motion. This page says what we have done, what we tested, and how to reach us when something is in your way.

What the app does

• VoiceOver and TalkBack: controls carry labels, roles, and states — buttons announce as buttons, the plan choices on the paywall announce as radio buttons with their price, tabs announce their name and whether they are selected, switches announce what they toggle, and screen titles and section headings are marked as headings for rotor navigation.
• Text size: all text follows your system text size (Dynamic Type). There is no in-app size setting to fight the system one.
• Contrast: our palette was measured against WCAG 2.1 AA. Body ink on paper measures above 15:1, the red used for rubrics and red-letter text above 7:1, and secondary text above 4.5:1.
• Reduced motion: the breathing animation on Be still rests when your system Reduce Motion setting is on. Nothing in the app flashes.
• Touch targets: interactive controls are at least 44 points tall.
• Voice journaling: entries can be dictated instead of typed, and the transcript is editable text.
• Images: the artwork in onboarding and on the paywall carries a spoken description and a visible caption.

What we tested

A review against WCAG 2.1 AA, applied to the app through Apple's accessibility APIs: image alternatives, control labels and roles, heading structure, focus order, color contrast computed for every foreground and background pair in the palette, motion, and touch target size — plus the same checks on this website's pages, which use no scripts, no cookies, and system-stack fonts.

Known limitations

• The verse text is set in a serif face for legibility; if you prefer your system font, system text size still applies to it.
• The off state of native toggle switches uses the operating system's own low-contrast track color.
